"3 People I've Never Heard Of"
3 PEOPLE I’VE NEVER HEARD OF was filmed on location at Lady Kent, a legendary artist enclave in the heart of the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The building is an iconoclastic holdout among the new condos and co-ops popping up around it, providing a home for over two hundred artists whose work is an invaluable part of the New York City art scene. The special requirements of filming 3 PEOPLE meant that we would need to take over whole sections of the building for prolonged periods of time, lighting our entire production in a single stroke and blocking numerous hallways and doors. Through the generous support of the residents and landlord of Lady Kent, we were able to capture the beautiful textures of this historic, unrestored building and document a small slice of life within it.
